Two weeks to know exactly where your project stands.
A fixed-price review of one project or team. It ends with a written diagnosis, risk ranking, and a prioritized fix plan your own team can act on.
Good moments for a Health Check
An objective, third-party assessment cuts through internal politics and subjective status reports.
- A business-critical project is slipping and nobody can state with certainty when it will actually ship.
- You just raised capital or won a large contract and need to scale delivery without breaking predictability.
- A new VP of Engineering, CIO, or PMO head is stepping in and needs an honest baseline.
- An outsourced or vendor team is delivering, and leadership lacks visibility into actual code progress.
- You need independent, data-backed evidence before an upcoming board or client review.
What we review across your delivery
How work actually moves day-to-day, not merely how it was documented during kickoff.
Planning & estimation
How commitments are made, how story points/hours are estimated, and how often original baselines hold.
Scope & change control
How scope changes enter the sprint, who approves them, and whether trade-offs are clearly communicated.
Flow & predictability
Cycle time, work-in-progress limits, throughput, and estimates against actuals extracted from your Jira or Azure DevOps boards.
Quality & rework
Defect escape rate, reopened tickets, test automation coverage, and late surprises during release hardening.
Risks & dependencies
What is logged in the RAID, who owns mitigation, and whether cross-team dependencies are actively steered.
Reporting & AI practices
Whether executive status reports reflect reality. Optional: how AI coding assistants are adopted and verified.
Ten working days from kickoff to readout
Structured to respect your team's bandwidth. Most of your team's time is concentrated in 45-minute interviews in days 3 to 6.
| Days | What Happens | Output / Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1 – 2 | Kickoff session with your executive sponsor, tool access setup (Jira/ADO read-only), and stakeholder interview schedule agreed. | Confirmed review scope & interview roadmap |
| Days 3 – 6 | Up to 8 confidential interviews of 45 minutes across dev, QA, PM, and architecture; quantitative analysis of board metrics. | Raw findings log & metric audit |
| Days 7 – 8 | Root-cause synthesis; ranking risks by revenue/timeline impact; interim alignment check with your sponsor. | Draft diagnosis reviewed with sponsor |
| Days 9 – 10 | Final fix plan written with 30/60/90-day actions; executive slide deck prepared; 1-hour leadership readout. | Written diagnosis, fix plan & readout deck |
What you get
- A Written Diagnosis: Where delivery stands, top risks ranked by impact, and the underlying root causes.
- A Prioritized Fix Plan: Actionable 30, 60, and 90-day changes with clear assigned ownership.
- A 1-Hour Executive Readout: A crisp interactive presentation for your leadership team with open Q&A.
- An Honest Recommendation: If your internal team can carry out the plan alone, we will state so directly.
What we need
- An Executive Sponsor: Usually the CTO, Head of Engineering, VP Delivery, or PMO Director who owns the outcome.
- Read-Only Tool Access: Access to the project's Jira, Azure DevOps, or board (revocable immediately after day 10).
- Interview Availability: Up to 8 key team members for a single 45-minute video interview each.
- Existing Artifacts: Recent status reports, architecture overviews, and risk logs (if they exist).

Frequently asked questions
Do you work on-site or remotely?
We work remotely and conduct interviews over secure video calls at hours convenient for your team. We overlap heavily with the GCC, UK, and APAC time zones. On-site visits can be arranged for kickoffs or readouts upon request and are quoted separately.
How much of my team's time will this require?
Very little operational disruption: up to 8 team members spend exactly 45 minutes in a single 1-on-1 interview. The executive sponsor attends a 45-minute kickoff on Day 1 and the 60-minute readout on Day 10.
What if our project turns out to be fundamentally healthy?
Then you receive independent, objective validation that delivery is sound, along with a fine-tuning list of optimizations. This provides immense confidence ahead of critical board or investor reviews.
Can you review multiple teams or an entire department?
Each Health Check is scoped to one project or team so that the diagnosis remains actionable and deep. If you have multiple initiatives, we can run staggered or parallel reviews.
What happens after the 10-day readout?
You own the written report and fix plan outright. Your internal team can execute it autonomously, or you can retain us to steer the rollout through a Delivery Transformation Program or Fractional Delivery Lead.
